We don't own much green and havent had a jaggerbomb in years, but its ok. We still like this holiday.
Since its like July hot in LA right now, we are breaking out the popsicle molds and making an Irish themed treat! Guinness Beer Float Popsicles! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Happy Early Spring!
PS: Mint does count as green right?
Guinness Beer Floats
What you need:
1. Guinness
2. Vanilla Ice Cream
3. Popsicle molds -We like these ones from Amazon because of the old school shape and you can use wooden sticks.
Start by pouring 2 tablespoons of beer into each mold |
Fill up with vanilla ice cream, leaving about an inch open before the top. Fill up the rest with beer (around a tablespoon or 2). |
Stir with a spoon handle or knife and mix up ice cream and beer. Cover, add sticks and put in freezer for at least 4 hours (longer the better). |
To release from mold, run mold under hot water for 3-5 seconds. ENJOY! |
***A couple alternatives:
- Cook the beer with sugar before putting into molds as suggest by 52kitchenadventures
-Put popsicles in the freezer for 2 hours then add sticks before they are completely solid for straighter sticks. The freeze overnight. Suggested by Endlesssimmer.
